Bubbles is one of the largest and most innovative self-service laundry networks in Central Europe, known for its large-capacity machines that allow customers to wash and dry several bags of clothes or large loads in just one hour. To further enhance their customer experience and improve operational efficiency, Bubbles sought to automate their laundry shops and eliminate the need for human operators.
Challenge
Bubbles wanted to fully automate its self-service laundry locations, ensuring that they could operate autonomously 24/7. The goal was to create a system that would be user-friendly, reliable, and secure, while seamlessly integrating with the IoT components of each laundry shop.
The system had to be able to withstand the challenging conditions of the machine room and provide a high level of security for both the equipment and the payment systems.
Solution
Konstruktor was tasked with developing a completely autonomous self-service solution for Bubbles. The project involved designing and implementing a range of cutting-edge technologies:
Kiosk Design and Engineering: We designed and built custom “wall-embedded” kiosks that could withstand the challenging environment of the laundry room. These kiosks feature a reinforced steel chassis, vandal-proof credit card and coin-handling mechanisms, and integrated alarms to protect the cash repository.
Self-Service Mobile Application: We developed a mobile app that allows users to reserve washing machines and dryers, even during peak hours. This app integrates with the kiosks and provides a seamless user experience.
Cloud-Based Technology: The entire system is powered by cloud-based technology, which integrates all IoT components of the laundry shop into one cohesive system. This enables real-time monitoring, big data analytics with anomaly detection, and remote management capabilities, including the ability to perform OS upgrades remotely.
